01.Does this language have other varieties? If so, what are these? The Azerbaijani language in the Republic of Azerbaijan has four varieties: East (Shirvan), West (Gazakh), South (Nakhichevan) and North (Guba).

04.Do you consider yourself a member of this linguistic community? If so, why? Yes I do. Because I was born in Azerbaijan and I am azerbaijani citizen.

The azerbaijani language is spoken in the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the south of Azerbaijan (Islamic Republic of Iran), in the Russian Federation (Dagistan), in the east of Georgia. This language is also spoken between azerbaijanis who live in USA, Germany, the countries of Scandinavian peninsula, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhastan and in other countries. The azerbaijani-speaking population of these countries publish newspapers and books in their language.

The war, deportation and occupation of the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan (up to 20%) by the Republic of Armenia and expulsion of azerbaijanis from Armenia have negatively affected the situation of this language.

24.Is the community which speaks this language in danger? If so, what is the cause? Azerbaijani community from Armenia and azerbaijanis from the territories occupied by Armenia are at present regugees.

There are internal and external migration. The causes of migration are aggression of the Republic of Armenia and low level of economic condition of population.
